Could Bronny James be heading overseas?

As people speculate about his future ahead of his senior year at Sierra Canyon, reports have surfaced that Bronny could ultimately decide to play for Australia’s NBL instead of playing for a top college program.

Recently, players like LaMelo Ball and R.J. Hampton have played in the NBL before entering the NBA Draft, and LeBron’s son could be facing a similar route per reports.

The NBL tweeted out a report from Joe Vardon of The Athletic that states the NBL, G League Ignite, and NCAA are all on the table.

It would be interesting to see Bronny go the NBL route and see if it could help his development as an NBA prospect. It could also do a lot for the popularity of the NBL in the United States. However, LeBron has always been close with his family and would he really want to miss a year of his son’s career?

With major programs like Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, and Kentucky expected to show interest in Bronny, an NCAA run with a blue blood program seems like the most likely route. Currently, Bronny is the No. 43 overall prospect in his recruiting class.
