Who would’ve ever thought coming into this season that the Warriors would be facing an elimination game 6 at home and Nick ‘Swaggy P’ Young would be playing important minutes while having to guard the MVP James Harden? Nobody, absolutely nobody. But that’s where we were at last night. The injury to Iguodala along with a not-so-deep bench had Swaggy out there for 16 minutes where he kept getting put in iso situations against Harden and held his own.
Somehow it worked and now we have ourselves a game 7 back in Houston tomorrow night. Now if you know Nick Young, you know we’re not talking about a guy known for locking in on the defensive end. We’re talking heat check shots and wild overconfidence on offense. So to see him D up in an elimination game like that was nothing short of spectacular.
After the game, he gave the reasoning behind his defensive resurgence and just like with North Korea, we can all thank Dennis Rodman.
They trick the devil ever pulled was dream Dennis Rodman somehow tricking Swaggy P into playing actual defense. The Warriors are gonna win another one aren’t they?
