The USA basketball team has been struggling in recent days while preparing for the Tokyo Olympics in less than two weeks. The United States, led by head coach Gregg Popovich, dropped back-to-back exhibition games for the first time since 1992 when the team started allowing professional players to participate.
Team USA dropped games to Nigeria and Australia within three days, which has led to some panic and questions about how they will fare in Tokyo.
But, in the eyes of the oddsmakers, Team USA will be just fine.
USA basketball remains the clear favorite to claim the gold medal in the coming weeks, with Australia and Spain following close behind. The biggest longshots are Japan and Iran, while Germany and the Czech Republic will also have a difficult road to the podium.
The Olympics officially kick off on Friday, July 23, and will run through Sunday, August 8.
