After a colossally bad season with the Chicago White Sox, lefty Derek Holland has surprisingly rebounded up in 2018 with the San Francisco Giants. He may not be the same guy from his Rangers glory days, but he’s put up a respectable 4.06 ERA while working both as a starter and reliever. He’s also second among all Giants pitchers in WAR ahead of guys like Madison Bumgarner and Johnny Cueto. That doesn’t sound great for the Giants as a team, but they are only a couple games out in the NL West and Wild Card — do note it’s an even year.
Off the field, Derek is also doing pretty well as he’s dating former Miami Dolphins cheerleader Terra Rae. She’s Nebraska raised and according to Derek, kicks ass at card games. He made it IG official in December of 2017.
