It’s good to know that there’s still some Ron Artest buried deep down inside Metta World Peace. Sometimes I miss the old, crazy-ass Ron Artest. He’s pretty much been able to flip the opinion on himself over the last 15 years since the Malice in the Palace, but he’ll still throw some flashes of that Queensbridge edge every now and then.
Last night was vintage Artest. I’m talking a page straight from the mid-2000’s Artest playbook. 1 minute into the game and he’s already arguing calls, which let the Hulk out a little bit, which led to Metta punting the basketball into the stands, which had him tossed before the game even hit the 2-minute mark.
CLASSIC Artest. This has to be the first ever BIG3 ejection, right? Who better to mark the record books than MWP.
And how about Oak being Metta’s coach? What dynamic duo we have there. If anyone is going to be able to get a grip on Metta, it’s gonna be Oak.
