Dwyane Wade and Bill Simmons Involved In Minor Twitter Spat

A Heat-Celtics first-round matchup is far from a lock, but that didn’t stop The Ringer’s Bill Simmons from brewing up some drama by taking a shot at Dwyane Wade on Twitter.

The Boston homer still has D-Wade injuring Rajon Rondo’s elbow on his mind after all these years, and stated that he’s emotionally preparing for the prospect of him taking out another Celtic.

Of course, most of them are already injured (Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart, Daniel Theis) so we’re looking at Marcus Morris and Jayson Tatum as the candidates here. Anyway, Bill succeeded in his troll job and got a response out of D-Wade:

The Celtics are likely to finish second in the Eastern Conference, so it’s on the Heat to stay the course in their last 11 games of the season. They could theoretically jump to the three seed in an absolute best-case scenario, or fall to eight.
